Pale straw in colour with crisp refreshing citrus and white flower aromas.
Crisp acidity but subtle and tart stone fruit, clean light and delicious after notes of almonds.
Delicious with pasta, vegetarian, fish and cured meat.

Wine-growing region: Marche, Province of Ancona.

Location of the vineyards: in the Classic area of ​​production of Verdicchio in the Municipality of Poggio San Marcello in the Gioncare district.

Grape variety: 90% Verdicchio and 10% of other grapes (Chardonnay, Trebbiano and Malvasia)

Surface: 30 Ha. Cultivation system: Simple curtain.

Planting density: 3333 plants per Ha, with a load of 18-22 plant buds.

Yield per hectare: 140 quintals of grapes. Vineyard age: 10 years.

Soil: Prevalence of Miocene and Pliocene clays mixed with sand with a tendency to limestone.

Exposure and altitude: North East - North West at 400-420 meters. s.l.m. Alcoholic content: 13% vol.

Vinification: Soft pressing and temperature reduction, subsequent flotation of static musts decanting. Fermentation at controlled temperature with selected yeasts with subsequent permanence on the lees. The wine ages for two months in the cellar, is carefully filtered and transferred to storage tanks. The bottling is carried out by checking (with the use of inert gases) that the air never comes into contact with the wine.

Tasting notes: Straw yellow with green reflections, turns golden with ripening; on the nose it has fragrances of ripe fruit and wild flowers with a perceptible hint of bitter almonds. The soft and harmonious taste proposes delicate fruity emanations.

Storage: Verdicchio is a well-structured wine to be tasted young that gives its best if consumed within the year of production.

Pairings: Its young and fragrant structure suggests giving it to seafaring dishes, both traditional and modern cuisine. Excellent in combination with first courses in white fish sauces (risotto and spaghetti with clams) and with vegetable base.

Serving temperature: 11 ° / 12 ° C.
