Tomato Solania DOP San Marzano in tomato sauce - 2.55 Kgs with sauce/1.66 Kgs Drained

A strong flavor in your best dishes, in keeping with tradition!
San Marzano tomatoes are ideal to make pasta above all the filled one like “ravioli” or “cannelloni”. Their flavor are typically bittersweet and they sit ill with meat and fresh cheese stuffing. San Marzano tomatoes are the perfect seasoning for Neapolitan pizza (oil, oregano and garlic) or for “Margherita” pizza with D.O.P mozzarella cheese. The delicate taste of San Marzano perfectly matches up with red meat even in elaborate recipes like meatballs or stew.

The D.O.P San Marzano tomato was born in a well-defined territory that includes 41 municipalities: the most important areas are the Agro Sarnese-Nocerino, Acerrano-Nolano,  Pompeiana-Stabiese and Montorese. Only in this specific land you find the best conditions for the cultivation of San Marzano seedlings. In fact, the Mediterranean climate and the fertility of this land rich of volcanic debris are the essential elements for the perfect maturation of the San Marzano and the unique intensity of its flavor.

The San Marzano Tomato from the Agro Sarnese-Nocerino has been awarded with the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) since 1996, and thus it is protected against imitation, misuse or evocation, or against practices that could mislead consumers regarding the true origin of the product.
